Wahb on Arrogance: Beware of lowly desires, evil friends, and selfish pride

Ahmad reported: Wahb ibn Munnabih, may Allah have mercy on him, delivered a sermon to the people upon the pulpit and he said, “Guard for me three things. Beware of whims that are followed, an evil companion, and the vanity of a man impressed by his own opinion.”
