Mu’awiya on Insight: A man has little insight until his forbearance is strong

Ibn Asakir reported: Mu’awiya, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “A man will not achieve the range of insight until his forbearance overcomes his ignorance and his patience overcomes his desires. And he will not achieve that unless his forbearance is strong.”
