Hadith on Providence: Faith is not complete until we believe Allah controls destiny

Jabir ibn Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A servant does not have faith until he believes in providence, both its good and its evil, and until he knows that what afflicts him could never have missed him and that what missed him could never have afflicted him.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Al-Albani

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ خَيْرِهِ وَشَرِّهِ حَتَّى يَعْلَمَ أَنَّ مَا أَصَابَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُخْطِئَهُ وَأَنَّ مَا أَخْطَأَهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيُصِيبَهُ
