Fudail on Forgiveness: I ask Allah to forgive one who slanders me

October 26, 2016

Abu Razeen reported: A man came to Fudail ibn Bazwan, may Allah have mercy on him, and he said, “Indeed, a man has slandered you!” Fudail said, “Verily, I will infuriate the one who commanded him! May Allah forgive me and forgive him.” It was said, “Who has commanded him?” Fudail said, “Satan.”

Ibn Farasifa said, “Whoever seeks forgiveness for his oppressor has defeated Satan.”
