Ibn Farafisa on Forgiveness: Whoever forgives his oppressor has conquered Satan

October 25, 2016

Ibn Al-Mubarak reported: Al-Hajjaj ibn Farafisa, may Allah have mercy on him, said, “We have learned from some of the books: Whoever acts without consulting others, then that is falsehood by which he suffers. Whoever does not take revenge upon his oppressor by his hand, nor by his tongue, nor by malice, then that is the conviction of his knowledge. And whoever seeks forgiveness for his oppressor, then he has defeated Satan.”
