October 5, 2016

Alqamah reported: Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud, may Allah be pleased with him, was asked about a man who has illicit intercourse with a woman and then marries her. Abdullah recited the verse, “Those who do evil deeds and then repent afterwards and have faith, verily your Lord after that is forgiving and merciful.” (7:153) Abdullah recited the verse ten times, but he did not command them or prohibit them from doing so.
