Mu’adh ibn Anas reported: He asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about the best faith. The Prophet said, “The best faith is to love for the sake of Allah, to hate for the sake of Allah, and to work your tongue in the remembrance of Allah.” Mu’adh said, “How is it, O Messenger of Allah?” The Prophet said, “That you love for people what you love for yourself, and you hate for people what you hate for yourself, and you speak goodness or remain silent.
