Hadith on Love: Hate for the people what you hate for yourself

April 20, 2012

Abu Al-Mughirah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, tell me about a deed that will bring me near Paradise and distance me from the Hellfire.” The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Establish the prayer, give the charity, perform pilgrimage to the House, fast the month of Ramadan, and love for people the way you would love for them to treat you, and hate for people the way you would hate for them to treat you.”
